Pilates
A specialized form of conditioning that targets core strength and promotes muscle balance, improving the way your body functions, looks and feels. Out STOTT certified instructors use over five hundred dynamic movements designed to improve posture, strengthen the abdominal and back muscles and improve balance and coordination. Pilates is low impact and can be customized to suit everyone from post-rehab clients to elite athletes. Workouts are done privately using equipment or in small groups on mats. Mat work, which can also be practiced at home, focuses mainly on core strength while the equipment workout adds more peripheral resistance and is useful in correcting muscle imbalances. We recommend practicing Pilates in either form two to three times per week for optimal results.
